Tapping Into Internal Motivation and The Art of Delegation

Presented by: Tero International, Inc.

Sponsored by: Monsanto

Motivated people often outperform individuals with greater technical qualifications or skills. Without motivation, individuals can lose their knowledge advantage through complacency. The long term success of a leader is largely determined by those who follow. As a result, leaders must seek to understand what influences people, what makes them tick, how to talk to them, how to challenge them, how to motivate them and how to delegate the tasks for which they are best suited.

How do great leaders retain and motivate talented employees? Competent leaders do not underestimate this challenge and they understand that they cannot force someone to be motivated. They understand the difference between external and internal motivation and devote energy to creating an environment that fosters and naturally promotes inner motivation.

Session Outcomes:

  • Discover useful tools for improving employee retention and motivation.

  • Explore the five roles leaders play in organizations.

  • Learn to tap into internal motivation when delegating.

Target Audience:

  • Employee Resources Group (ERG) Leaders

  • Human Resources Professionals

  • Government and Public Service Officials

  • Allies and Families

  • College of Agriculture Students

  • Diversity and Inclusion Professionals

  • Executives and Organizational Leaders
